About Us

Built on the Drill Floor, Not in a Boardroom

Rocky Mountain Micropiles is a specialty geotechnical contractor focused on deep foundations, earth retention, and slope stabilization across Utah and the Intermountain West.

Who We Are

Specialty Geotechnical Contractors

Rocky Mountain Micropiles was founded by people who came up through the field — drilling, grouting, and building shoring systems before starting a company. That hands-on foundation shapes everything about how we operate: we estimate accurately because we’ve done the work, we solve problems on site because we’ve seen them before, and we deliver on schedule because we understand what it takes.

We’re a focused specialty contractor — not a general contractor who subcontracts geotechnical work, and not a consulting firm that designs but doesn’t build. We drill, we grout, we install, and we test. That’s what we do, and we do it well.

Our team works directly with geotechnical engineers, structural engineers, and general contractors to deliver micropile foundations, soldier pile and tieback shoring, soil nail walls, and slope stabilization systems across Utah and the Intermountain West.

Why Us

What Sets Us Apart

There are a lot of contractors. Here’s why general contractors, engineers, and owners choose to work with us.

Self-Perform
Own Crews & Equipment

We don’t subcontract our drilling or grouting. Our own crews operate our own rigs on every project — giving us direct control over quality, schedule, and safety.

Multi-System
Full Geotechnical Scope

Micropiles, soil nails, soldier piles, tiebacks, shotcrete, and slope stabilization — all under one contract. One mobilization, one point of contact, no coordination gaps.

Proof Tested
Verified Performance

We don’t hand over a grout log and call it done. Our micropiles are proof-tested to 200% of design load and tiebacks to 133% — you get documented, verified capacity.

Local Knowledge
Wasatch Front Geology

Lake Bonneville clays, collapsible soils, Wasatch Formation sandstone, steep bench deposits — we’ve drilled through Utah’s full range of conditions and know how they behave.

Responsive
Fast Mobilization

We answer the phone, we return proposals quickly, and we mobilize when we say we will. When you’re managing a construction schedule, the last thing you need is a sub who doesn’t communicate.

Engineer-Friendly
Technical Collaboration

We speak the same language as your geotechnical and structural engineers. We provide clear submittals, accurate installation logs, and test data that makes design verification straightforward.

How We Work

From Bid to Close-Out

We keep the process simple and transparent. You’ll always know where your project stands, what’s happening next, and who to call if you have questions.

Start With a Quote
01

Plan Review & Proposal

Send us your plans, geotech report, or project description. We’ll review the scope, identify the right system, and provide a detailed proposal — typically within 24–48 hours.

02

Engineering Coordination

We work directly with your geotechnical and structural engineers to finalize the design, prepare submittals, and resolve any constructability questions before we mobilize.

03

Mobilize & Install

Our crews mobilize on schedule with our own drilling and grouting equipment. Daily progress updates keep your project team informed throughout the installation.

04

Test & Verify

Every micropile is proof-tested to 200% and every tieback to 133% of design load. You don’t get calculated capacity — you get documented, verified performance.

05

Documentation & Close-Out

Complete as-built records, installation logs, grout records, and test data submitted to the engineer of record and project owner. Clean, organized, ready for your files.

Who We Work With

Our Clients & Partners

We work as a specialty subcontractor to general contractors and as a direct-hire contractor for engineers and property owners.

General Contractors

We’re the geotechnical sub you can count on. Clean estimates, clear communication, on-time mobilization, and documentation that closes out without callbacks. We understand your schedule drives the project.

Geotechnical Engineers

We execute your designs accurately and provide the test data and installation records you need. When field conditions differ from the geotech report, we communicate immediately so we can adapt together.

Structural Engineers

Clear submittals, proof-tested capacities, and as-built records that make your design verification straightforward. We understand the interface between your structural design and our geotechnical installation.

Property Owners & Developers

If you’re dealing with a foundation problem, slope failure, or need geotechnical work for a new project, we’ll help you understand your options, connect you with the right engineer if needed, and get the work done right.
